The ceramic is presented as an inorganic material easy to mold; thanks to this feature it is possible to mold it so as to create any shape desired. After modeling done by heand, the objects should be left to air dry and in this delicate phase, ceramics loses all moisture and plasticity. We than move on to the baking and only after we decore ceramics.
The objects have two different colors: pearl and terra di Siena.
Products colored in pearly grey are described as Maiolica and are baked in the oven at 1706 fahrenheit degrees, while the products in terra di Siena are "terre semirefrattarie" (Semira), colored with the technique of engobe and baked at 2156 fahrenheit degrees.
Concerning the colours, we use the engobe, composed of clays already cooked and finely chopped, kaolin, minerals and oxides.
